to Hire A Wedding Coordinator?

Wedding
Coordinators come in all shapes and sizes and offer a variety of
services. In particular, a Wedding Day Coordinator is one that
specializes in taking care of all the details on your wedding
day.
Many
brides enjoy the wedding planning process and take extreme joy
and pride in planning every detail. You can still plan the
wedding of your dreams – but it may be a good idea to have help
on your wedding day.
Take this short quiz and see how many of these questions can you
answer with confidence.
·
Who will make
sure that the wedding programs and wedding bubbles are in their
proper places?
·
Who will
ensure that the favors, table centerpieces, special toasting
flutes, cake server set, guest book (and 2 pens!) are all in
their proper place at the reception?
·
Who will help
the groomsmen with their boutonnieres? The mother’s with their
corsages?
·
What happens
if your flower girl is tripping on the hem of her dress, an hour
before the ceremony?
·
Who will make
sure that the wedding starts on time and everyone is in place
for the processional?
·
Who will
check on the photographer to make sure all the pictures you
asked for are being taken and that everyone down to the flower
girl is smiling in the family shots?
·
What will you
do if the DJ, caterer, etc. is late, gets violently ill, or just
doesn't show up?
·
Who will
manage the wedding reception to make sure everything goes
smoothly and all of the announcements, introductions, toasts,
special dances, cake cutting, bouquet toss or dedication, all
happen on time?
·
Who will make
sure that all of the vendors are paid the day of the wedding?
·
How will you
manage the guest seating at the reception to ensure that feuding
family members do not sit next to one another and that everyone
mingles amicably?
·
Who will make
sure that your limo or transportation is waiting for you at the
end of the reception?
·
Who will
ensure that you’re able to breathe with confidence and enjoy
your special day?
If you are
unsure of the answer to four or more of these questions, get
thee to a wedding coordinator!
Or perhaps
you passed the quiz but have heard stories of the horrors of
wedding stresses and don’t want the hassle of shouldering all
the responsibility for your wedding yourself.

A USABride visitor shares her experience about her wedding
coordinator:
Carol,
Wedding Date: Aug.3, 2000
So many things about my wedding turned out simply wonderful,
better than I could have ever dreamed, and they all had one
thing in common - my wedding coordinator! Everything was simply
top-notch, and I didn't have to worry about anything on my
wedding day! I couldn't have done a better job myself, and she
saved me a ton of headache and stress.
Of course,
I interviewed several wedding coordinator candidates (over the
phone), and had each send information to me. I also checked
their references, websites and Better Business Bureau records
(hint: you can check some records on-line at the
Better Business Bureau)
before selecting the one I felt was most similar to myself in
terms of her tastes and overall sense of style.
In
short, I highly recommend hiring a wedding coordinator, but I
also strongly advise doing your homework first in order to
ensure that you hire the right one for you!!
