With more and more family and friends living in
different parts of the country or even the globe,
the rehearsal dinner is often the first opportunity
that soon-to-be in-laws and guests are meeting for
the first time. Rather than hosting a formal
gathering, many brides and grooms are opting for a
casual affair which allows guests to mix and
mingle. A backyard barbecue, picnic or wine
tasting provides a casual, fun atmosphere that
encourages conversation and allows everyone the
opportunity to get to know one another.
Want to make the fun last?
Today, many couple’s are extending their celebration
over a period of days. Consider hosting a welcome
reception, followed by a golf tournament for the
guys and a day at the spa for the ladies. Host a
rehearsal dinner that includes all of your family,
friends and out-of-town guests. After you’ve
performed your last dance at the reception,
celebrate into the wee hours of the evening with an
after-hours party and why not bring everyone
together one last time for a scrumptious brunch.
Enjoy!
